Leeds United fans have been reacting to comments that have emerged from midfielder Adam Forshaw.
The 29-year-old midfielder made his return to first-team action against Crewe Alexandra earlier this week in the League Cup, having not played a game since September 2019 in a Championship game against Charlton Athletic.
Forshaw got right into the thick of the action, completing 94% of his passes, two of which were key passes and making two tackles before being taken off just past the hour mark (stats via WhoScored).
Speaking after the game (LUTV, as per via Leeds Live) Forshaw was quoted as saying: “I am not just here to make the numbers up, I want to start playing regularly again. I understand it is going to be a long process and it has been a long process to get back here, but yeah, I have aspirations to play again.”
These comments were relayed to fans via the Leeds Live Facebook page for them to react to, and it led to a number of responses:
Will Forshaw return from injury the same player?
Yes
No
Whether or not he will be a regular in the team moving forward as he was before his injury, only time will tell.
