A lot of Leeds United fans have flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts on Junior Firpo’s comments in his latest interview after becoming a Leeds player.

The 24-year-old made the move to Yorkshire this summer from Barcelona on a four-year deal for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £13.5m.

Will Leeds finish in a European spot next season?

Firpo spoke to DAZN to discuss the summer switch from La Liga to the Premier League and what he expects for the upcoming season ahead.

“It is a beautiful challenge because it’s a league where there are no ‘easy games’. It’s the same in Spain but before the season starts in England nobody knows who is going to win the league,” he said.

Leeds fans flooded to a tweet from Joe Brennan, who translated the interview from Spanish and these fans voiced their enthusiasm towards their new signing.

What exactly did these Leeds fans have to say?

Brilliant. #LUFC #JuniorFirpo

“Brilliant Joe. Junior seems a top lad. Can absolutely see why his character appealed to MB.”
“This is excellent”
“Cheers for this Joe. Doing God’s work. Super interesting responses, too.”
“That is awesome mate well done as for he’s feet getting cold in winter he won’t have time for them to get cold once Bielsaball kicks in lol well done though”
“Enjoyed that terrific read shows how much detail goes into a signing from Leeds’ perspective sounds like he’s speaking from the heart so down to earth & so true full especially in wanting to go back & win with Betis MOT.”
Really interesting interview from Firpo. Seems like the right character for Leeds. Determined to improve and to fit into a Bielsa system. Also looks like his ultimate aim is to return to Betis, but as long as he gives his all while he’s here… Go for it lad! #lufc

Firpo made 41 appearances for Barcelona during his two-year stint at the club in which he was able to score on two occasions and provide three assists (via Transfermarkt).

Following the departure of Ezgjan Alioski, it seems these Leeds fans have put their faith in their new left-back to step up to the mark this season and this interview has certainly impressed them.
