Leeds United fans have amassed online to offer their thoughts on a transfer update regarding one of the club’s talented players.

A report from Football Insider has recently claimed that Leeds attacker Ian Poveda is now in line for a late-window departure following his first-team demotion.

The article explains that Poveda could be either loaned out or permanently sold, with the club now open to listening to offers before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.

The new information had a selection of Leeds supporters (digitally) wagging their tongues as they expressed their feelings on the matter, particularly after Leeds journalist Graham Smyth suggested that a loan exit could be on the cards.

What did these Leeds fans have to say?

“Not surprised about Poveda, whether it’s been a falling out or Bielsa just doesn’t fancy him. He’s not good enough.”

“He’s too lightweight at that level.”

“Poveda .. He’s gone the same hairstyle as Costa, not a good sign, looks like the head’s gone.”

“Inevitable. Just never delivered.”
“Not good enough. Simple as that really.”
“A bit-part player. Doesn’t figure in the “what have you done for us lately?” stakes. If the offer is attractive I’m not sure he’d be missed.”
“Prob spat his dummy out over Roberts and Costa continuing to get gigs ahead of him”

It’s clear by the reaction of these fans, that the club’s decision to potentially allow the former Manchester City youngster to leave hasn’t been taken too poorly.

With the 21-year-old left out of the most recent Under-23s squad – despite no suggestion from either club or manager that he is injured – it feels as if Poveda may well be leaving Leeds sooner rather than later.
