Lots of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to voice their anger at the latest announcement to emerge from the Yorkshire club.

On Thursday morning, the club announced they will be launching the $LUFC Fan Token on the Socios.com app for fan engagement and rewards.

Will Leeds challenge for Europe this season?

Yes

Yes

No

No

The Yorkshire side join a host of European powerhouses to sign up to the application, with the likes of Juventus, Inter, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona paving the way.

It is stated the app will allow fans to put their skills to the test in club-based games and quizzes with real-life accolades up for grabs.

However, the announcement did not go down well with these Leeds fans, who were left far from impressed by the club’s latest venture.

What exactly did these Leeds fans have to say?

“This hurts my head”

“So bad this, shocking we’ve put it out”
“Dear god”
“Football really is dead”
Absolute disgrace. #lufc
So disappointed with this. Just another scheme to fleece the fans. We were supposed to be different. #lufc

The Whites get their 2021/22 Premier campaign up and running next weekend with an away to their bitter rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford.

But it seems matters off the pitch have these Leeds fans frustrated with their latest dive into the digital world not exactly getting a welcome reception from the Elland Road faithful.
