on Twitter have been responding to the transfer claim to emerge concerning the Yorkshire club.

This comes after @Transferzone00 shared a post relaying news originally published by La Repubblica (via Leeds Live) which claims that Leeds are trying to sign Sampdoria left-winger Mikkel Damsgaard as well as fellow side Hotspur.

Leeds' all-time top goalscorer is Mark Viduka but how many did he score?

This post then caught the attention of a lot of Whites supporters who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on the matter.

So, what did these Leeds fans have to say in response to this claim about the club’s interest in Damsgaard?

“We need this to happen”

@DazScott1

“Exactly what we need, bit of energy in midfield”

@lufctheoo

Get it done @andrearadri

@benchamberss_

“Need him & sharpish.”

@Nige1919

“I am on my knees begging”

@TommyLanc

“I am begging you, Orta. PLEASE”

@jamesxlufc

Looking at the replies to this post, it’s clear to see that this group of Leeds fans think their club should be doing all they can to sign Damsgaard before the end of the current summer transfer window.

Do you think Leeds should sign Damsgaard this summer?

Yes

No

Given how Leeds haven’t signed any new attacking players this summer apart from ex-loanee Jack Harrison on a permanent deal, and the fact that they recently fell to a 5-1 defeat against Manchester United in their opening game of the season, it’s easy to see why these fans think the club needs some attacking reinforcement and should be going all-out for Damsgaard.

In our view, given how Harrison is the only player Leeds have in their squad that predominantly plays on the left wing, perhaps signing Damsgaard would be a good move for the Whites to give them some extra strength in that position.
