Leeds United will be looking to go from strength to strength heading into the 2021/22 Premier League season under the watchful eye of Marcelo Bielsa.

The Whites finished ninth in the top-flight standings in their first season back in the top-flight, and are set to take on arch-rivals Manchester United in their opening match of the new campaign.

Bielsa’s squad have been put through their paces during pre-season, although they were recently beaten by Spanish side Real Betis in their most recent outing.

Goals from Patrick Bamford and Mateusz Klich weren’t quite enough for the Yorkshire-based side on the day, as they were beaten 3-2 by the Spanish outfit, who finished sixth in the La Liga table last term.

One player that caught the eye in the defeat to Real Betis was Raphinha, with the winger turning his man on the counter-attack, before being held back by the Betis defender.

Raphinha made 30 appearances for Leeds last season, and chipped in with six goals and nine assists in the Premier League for Bielsa’s side. The 24-year-old had an average WhoScored rating of 7.22 from last term, which certainly makes for good reading, with no other Leeds player being able to match that rating.

Plenty of Leeds United supporters took to social media to react to this moment of brilliance from their 2020 signing after footage from the weekend’s match surfaced online.
