JustJoe Football Show presenter Joe Wainman fears Raphinha could leave Leeds United for Liverpool if he enjoys another scintillating season.

Raphinha joined the Whites from French outfit Rennes last October, with Leeds parting with £17million ahead of their first campaign back in the Premier League following a 16-year wait.

The 24-year-old Brazilian went on to score eight goals and record 11 assists in an impressive debut season under Marcelo Bielsa.

Is Raphinha good enough to get into Liverpool's best XI?

Raphinha’s fine form has led to speculation that a host of Premier League rivals are keeping an eye on the winger, with top Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari revealing Liverpool are at the front of a queue which also includes Manchester City and Manchester United.

Although Liverpool have yet to contact Leeds about a potential switch and Raphinha still has three years remaining on his contract, former All Leeds TV anchorman Wainman believes a move could be on the cards next summer.

He told TIF: “Raphinha would fit like a glove at Liverpool. There’s a chance for him to get into that side.

Leeds' all-time top Premier League goalscorer is Mark Viduka but how many did he score?

“Am I worried now? No. Next summer, yes. I think the thing with Leeds United is that in order to keep players like him, we have to progress.

“If we don’t get into Europe and he has another amazing season, then it will be hard for him to turn down if a European side in the Premier League comes knocking. It’s hard for him to turn down and the figures that probably would be offered to acquire his signature would be quite hefty.”
