Speaking exclusively to This Is Futbol, former Everton defender Michael Ball believes the Toffees could sign a high-profile striker this summer if they manage to offload Moise Kean.

After a disappointing 2019/20 season, where he managed to score just two goals, Kean’s stock is on the rise again following an impressive loan spell with Paris Saint-Germain.

Last term, the 21-year-old forward found the back of the net on 17 occasions for PSG, three of those coming in the Champions League as he helped the French giants reach the semi-finals of the competition.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Everton are now looking for €45m (£38m) from PSG in a potential permanent deal. And if they can end up getting that kind of money, Ball is backing the Merseyside club to go big in the market as they look to bolster their own forward options.

On Kean’s future, Ball told TIF:

“I feel it’d be good if you could sort of cash in now and with that money, maybe alongside DCL, we’ll be in the market for someone big.”

Whether Everton manage to sell Kean permanently or not, it looks like they could end up with a new No.9 this summer.

Earlier this month, 90min reported that the Toffees are one of many clubs who have an interest in Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham.
