Patrick Vieira is having to deal with losing 10 senior figures that were out of contract, including the experienced likes of Gary Cahill, Mamadou Sakho and Patrick van Aanholt.

But the Frenchman’s rebuild if firmly underway, with Vieira already making four impressive signings.

Remi Matthews joined following his release from League One Sunderland and is expected to be third-choice goalkeeper, whilst Marc Guehi and Joachim Andersen have been bought in to bolster Palace’s defensive department.

Michael Olise has signed from Reading, whilst highly-rated Chelsea youngster, Conor Gallagher, who enjoyed his first Premier League experience on loan at West Brom last season, is expected to spend the 2021-2022 campaign at Selhurst Park after Vieira’s men beat off competition from Leeds.

But the Eagles boss isn’t done just yet, with Bridge revealing that he’s still looking to add another  players to his squad.

He told This is Futbol:

“They want another striker, another midfielder and another defender.”

Vieira has made some outstanding additions this window already, but there’s still work to do, and if he doesn’t sign a prolific goalscorer, then Palace could be faced with familiar struggles in front of goal.
