Dean Windass has urged new Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira to bolster his attacking options by signing Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.

Former captain Vieira was appointed Roy Hodgson’s successor last month, following a lengthy managerial search.

Vieira has already shown he is looking to assemble a youthful squad by signing 21-year-old Chelsea defender Marc Guehi for £18million and welcoming exciting 19-year-old Michael Olise in an £8million deal from Championship outfit Reading.

Remi Matthews and Jacob Montes have also arrived at Selhurst Park, from Sunderland and New England Revolution respectively, and Windass believes Abraham should be on Vieira’s radar.

Abraham has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea following Thomas Tuchel’s appointment head coach.
