West Bromwich Albion fans have reacted online after Valerien Ismael hinted the club won’t be making any more signings unless they can sell some players.

A report from Birmingham Live explained that the manager indicated his side are ‘satisfied’ with their business and he suggested they won’t be doing any more deals unless players leave.

It outlined how Ismael was happy with the recent signing of Jordan Hugill who has signed a season-long loan from Norwich.

He was quoted as saying: “I think at the minute we are satisfied with the last signing, and I think at the minute only if something happens in the outgoings, then we can do something in the incomings.”

Author of the article Joe Chapman shared the information on his Twitter feed and it soon drew a response from a number of West Brom supporters.

Here’s what these West Brom fans had to say…

“This is shocking if true. No more signings unless we sell someone?? Who are we going to sell??”

“Cannot believe Lai has pocketed the Pereira money… unbelievable! Our squad is wafer-thin.”
“If we don’t sign a cm for cover then you’re asking for trouble.”
“What? Wasn’t we saying we needed Pereira to leave before any incomings? But now he’s left we still have money where’s the sense in that.”
“Same every season, penny-pinching no ambition. They give him a 4-year deal and refuse to back him. Clown owners”
“So dysfunctional off the pitch.”

Having sold key man Matheus Pereira to Saudi Professional League club Al-Hilal for an undisclosed fee, it would be fair of the Baggies supporters to expect to see that money reinvested in the squad.

Unfortunately, as things stand, the club have yet to actually pay a transfer fee in order to bring in a new player for the season.

With that in mind, these fans can’t be blamed for being a little concerned by Ismael’s quotes.
