A whole host of West Brom fans are delighted on Twitter with Matt Phillips signing a new deal.

Phillips has penned a new contract that will see him remain at The Hawthorns until 2024, which would take his time with the Baggies up to eight years after joining from QPR for £5.5 million back in 2016.

Phillips was played as a winger last season in the Premier League, which saw him return two goals and one assist in 33 appearances for the Baggies, but his best form may come this season in the Championship, as his best season in front of goal was in the second tier when he netted eight goals during the 2015/16 season for Queens Park Rangers.

To kick off this quiz on West Bromwich Albion's 2019/20 season, how many points did the Baggies end the 2019/20 Championship campaign with?

It will be great news for West Brom fans to see Phillips commit his long-term future to the club, especially following the news that Matheus Pereira is set to leave The Hawthorns.

The Baggies may feel like ensuring they have someone of Phillips’ ability and standard in the Championship will leave them in a great place to try and win promotion at the first time of asking.
