Journalist Luke Hatfield has told This Is Futbol that he would not be shocked to see West Brom star Matheus Pereira join West Ham this summer.
Pereira has constantly been linked with a move away from West Brom following their relegation to the Championship and West Ham appear to be one of the leading candidates to sign him.
According to the Daily Express, the east London club have held talks with the player’s representatives as they look to strike a deal. And while nothing looks close to being completed yet, it is a move Hatfield can imagine happening.

“It wouldn’t shock me if he did join a side like West Ham. They’re the type of team I think he would fit in well at.”
With West Ham struggling to find the funds needed to purchase Lingard (per The Athletic), it will be interesting to see if they can afford Pereira. An important player for them, you would expect West Brom to demand big bucks.
