Sheffield United fans have been reacting to claims surrounding a potential move for Adlene Guedioura.

The Blades haven’t got off to the best of starts in the Championship this season, drawing one and losing two of their first three league games, conceding five goals in the process, meaning that there is still work to be done if they are to bounce back up at the first opportunity under Slavisa Jokanovic.

Who scored the opening goal in Liverpool's 4-3 win over Leeds United at Anfield in September?

Part of that work could come in the form of a signing, with noted journalist Alan Nixon claiming that Jokanovic is taking an interest in signing 35-year-old midfielder Guedioura, someone that he has worked with before at Watford and Al-Gharafa.

The news of the potential signing was relayed to fans via @The_Bladesman for them to react to, where there were plenty rather put off by the idea of signing him, mainly hesitant because of his age:

“35 blimey. Trying to stay positive haha”

“This HAS to be a joke!!!!!”
“Gets worse”
“Oh yes exactly what we need, pace power creativity... exactly what we don’t need this signing”
“Really a 35-year-old because we don’t have enough deadwood as it is”
“35. I’ll say that again. 35”

Will Sheffield United earn promotion?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Despite these reactions, given the start the club have made, they really could do with all the help they can get, and if Jokanovic is comfortable with working with him, then it’s certainly worth looking into.
