David Norris does not think Stuart Dallas’ opportunities will be limited despite Junior Firpo’s big-money arrival at Leeds United.

Dallas, who won the Yorkshire club’s player of the year award thanks to an impressive campaign, has already committed his future to Leeds by signing a new three-year contract earlier this summer.

The Northern Ireland international, who joined from Brentford six years ago, played a key role as Marcelo Bielsa led Leeds back into the Premier League for the first time following a 16-year wait.

Dallas went on to feature in all 38 of Leeds’ top-flight fixtures last term, scoring eight goals and registering two assists along the way.

Ten of the 30-year-old’s starts came at left-back and there may have been suggestions that his involvement may decrease following Firpo’s £13million move from Spanish giants Barcelona last month.

However, former Leeds midfielder Norris believes Dallas will remain a key member of Bielsa’s plans in the upcoming campaign.

Leeds have had some odd players over the last ten years but how well do you remember them. Starting with the most recent one, who is this?

He exclusively told TIF: “I don’t think he’ll nail down one position because he is the ultimate utility man.

“To be that type of player in the Premier League is quite special. I could see him filling in at central midfield again, left-back if need be or right-wing.

“I don’t think he’ll nail down one place but I still think he’ll play in the majority of the games.”
