Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has been speaking on the latest edition of his Here We Go podcast to discuss potential summer switches across Europe.

The Italian journalist spoke specifically about Harry Kane’s ongoing transfer saga following the conclusion of this summer’s European Championship.

Will Kane leave Spurs this summer?

Yes

Yes

No

No

It has been reported the England captain would like to leave the Lilywhites this summer with Manchester City looking the most realistic of potential landing spots.

Kane took the Premier League by storm over the course of the 2020/21 season after earning the Golden Boot and Playmaker award, but he is yet to get his hands on any major silverware.

Discussing where Tottenham now stand with their star striker, Romano had the following to say on the transfer saga.

(25:00) “Now, of course, the player will be on holiday and well deserved I would say. But they [Tottenham] want to talk directly with him.

“So now Paratici, together with Daniel Levy and Nuno [Espirito Santo] will talk directly with the player and decide about Harry Kane’s future. So it’s time to talk, it’s time to decide together about the future.

“Tottenham will confirm their intention to Harry Kane they want to keep him 100% and Daniel Levy will fight to keep Harry Kane.”

TIF Thoughts on Kane’s future…

Following England’s Euro 2020 heartbreak in the final to Italy, Kane is now set to enjoy a couple of weeks holiday before rejoining the Spurs camp in their pre-season efforts.

Unfortunately for Manchester City, Kane still has three years left on his contract with Spurs so the Lilywhites are under no pressure to sell their star man for anything less than they desire.

It has been reported Spurs will not sell Kane for a penny less than £150m and if that is the case could it leave City waiting another year before targeting Erling Haaland as an option?
