Judging by the replies, Sunderland fans are gutted to see the back of Maguire.

The Scot signed for Sunderland from Bury in 2018. Since signing for the Black Cats, Maguire appeared 124 times in all competitions, scoring 28 goals and providing 26 assists, but was restricted to mainly substitute appearances last season, appearing 34 times in League One for Sunderland but being in the starting XI on just 12 occasions.

As a former Scottish , with two appearances for his country, Maguire could be an excellent addition for several clubs in the EFL if these negative reactions to his departure are anything to go by.
