A whole host of Sunderland fans have flocked to Twitter to show their displeasure at Lee Johnson’s latest comments.

Johnson has been speaking about what he expects and hopes to happen in the coming weeks regarding Sunderland’s transfer business.

As per Chronicle Live, the boss said: “It’s not easy but to be fair, I do feel like we are getting there in a couple of positions. My hope is that in the next week to ten days we’re able to bring a couple in.”

Will Sunderland earn promotion this season?

The Black Cats have only managed to bring in four players so far this summer, with three of them being free transfers and the one loan deal to bring in Callum Doyle from Manchester City.

A lot of fans have reacted negatively on Twitter to Johnson’s latest comments on potential incomings.

What have these Sunderland fans had to say exactly?

An easy one to kick off our quiz on the 2020 summer transfer window in the EFL, which player left Birmingham City to join Borussia Dortmund?

During the summer, Sunderland lost players such as Max Power, Grant Leadbitter and last season’s top scorer Charlie Wyke, and are yet to replace the striker – with their options currently Will Grigg, Ross Stewart or Benjamin Mbunga Kimpioka.

As things stand, the Black Cats have no recognised senior full-backs at the club with Denver Hume’s contract expiring and Luke O’Nien set to be moved into midfield this season, as Johnson confirmed recently.
