Many Celtic fans have been talking about some transfer news that emerged on social media recently.
The Following the Floodlights Podcast recently tweeted an update involving Celtic, sharing a claim from presenter and journalist Daniel Pitcher saying that Watford’s Bosun Lawal will complete a move to Parkhead soon. He has already passed a medical and the tweet described the youngster to be a ‘great prospect’.
Are you happy with the signing?
Yes
No
Lawal is currently only 18 and he’s an Ireland Under-21 international, having played once for the side so far.
The update from the podcast’s account drew the attention of many Celtic fans, who made their views about the potential signing.

Lawal is yet to play even once for the Watford senior side, having featured for the club’s Under-18s outfit. Last season, he played three times for them and he’s a defensive midfielder by trade (as per Transfermarkt).
This could be Celtic’s third signing from an English club, as Liam Shaw and Osaze Urhoghide have already been signed. But both those youngsters had experience of playing for the Sheffield Wednesday first team. Lawal hasn’t played for the Hornets’ first-team yet, so it would be unfair to expect him to play for the Hoops’ senior side next season.
