Many Celtic fans have been talking about the latest tweet from Adam Matthews that emerged on social media.
Matthews recently quote-tweeted a post from the official Celtic Twitter account, before the Hoops’ friendly against Charlton Athletic.
Matthews stated that it was ‘nice’ to see some familiar faces amongst the Hoops players and for him to catch up with them. He also wished the Bhoys well for the upcoming Scottish Premiership season.

The Bhoys won the friendly against Matthews’ Charlton 2-1, as Karamoko Dembele and Albian Ajeti scored a goal each to help Ange Postecoglou’s side win.
Matthews’ tweet drew the attention of many Celtic fans, who made their views clear about the ex-Hoops star, stating that they would like Matthews to return to the club at some point in the future:

Matthews won four Premiership titles for the Bhoys, winning one Scottish Cup title. Considering the trophies he won and the number of years he spent, it is easy to see why Celtic fans still like Matthews.
