Celtic fans, can you get 8/8 on this quiz on forgotten players? First up: who is this?

The article claims that Postecoglou is “interested in” signing Manchester City defender Ko Itakura during the current summer transfer window.

This post then quickly grabbed the attention of a lot of Hoops supporters who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest claim.

So, what did these Celtic fans have to say in response to this claim about Postecoglou and Itakura?

I’m on my knees @CelticFC

@Aidan_csc

“Would 100% take if true.”

@marcmcardle1

This would be a class signing!! Get it done @CelticFC

@jp__mcg

“Please”

@BigUncleGary

get him signed @CelticFC

@StephenMcalees8

“I think Ange will be able to convince him and cause he’s from the City Group they will be more willing to sell to us”

@mcgeechank

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems as though these Celtic fans would be delighted to see their club make a move to sign Itakura this summer.

Given how during his recent loan spell with Dutch club FC Groningen, Itakura made more league appearances (35) than any other current player at the club, ultimately earning himself a decent overall season rating of 6.92/10, making him their third-highest-rated player to make more than one league appearance according to WhoScored, it’s easy to see why Postecoglou is reportedly interested in bringing him to Celtic this summer.

Do you think Celtic should sign Ko Itakura this summer?

Yes

No

In our view, potentially signing Itakura on a loan deal this summer to see if he has what it takes to perform at a high level in the SPFL could be a good move for the Parkhead club and strengthen their defensive options in the process, especially having bid farewell to Kristoffer Ajer earlier this week.
