A lot of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to react to the latest news emerging from the Parkhead side ahead of their game against Midtjylland on Wednesday.
According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic forward Leigh Griffiths has not travelled to Denmark for their Champions League qualifying clash due to a reported calf injury.
Should Celtic look to sell Griffiths this summer?
The report suggests the 30-year-old was part of the Celtic squad in their training session on Monday but following the injury concern, he did not travel with the team.
This news comes just days after the Scotsman was booed by some of the Celtic crowd on the weekend in their 6-2 friendly defeat against David Moyes’ West Ham United.
Celtic fans flocked to the tweet from Everything Celtic who relayed the claims to voice their frustration with the 30-year-old.
What exactly did these Celtic fans have to say?
“Pack yer bags son, Edinburgh is calling for you”
“‘Calf injury’ get him binned”
“Fed up hearing his name, offers nothing to the club & complete embarrassment”
“Terminate the contract that he should never have been given in the first place.”
“Should leave for the sake of his own career and Celtic’s future. He can go to Rangers for all I care”
“Biggest waste of space I’ve ever seen at this club”
“How is he still employed by Celtic football club”
Griffiths has been a Celtic player now for seven years following his move from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2014 for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £1.13m (via Transfermarkt).
However, it seems by the reaction of these Celtic fans that their patience with the forward is wearing thin as he suffers yet another calf injury.
