Many Celtic fans have been talking about an update involving Ange Postecoglou and Carl Starfelt that recently emerged on social media.
Journalist Alison Conroy tweeted about the Australian boss, who has made it clear that new signing Carl Starfelt is expected to start training with the Hoops when the team return from Denmark and he’s is available for selection ahead of Celtic’s weekend Premiership game against Hearts.
Do you expect Starfelt to play v Hearts?
Starfelt has joined Celtic for a fee of £4 million from Russian club Rubin Kazan and the Swede has signed a four-year deal.
Conroy’s tweet drew the attention of many Celtic fans, who began talking about the news about Starfelt.
What did Celtic fans make of this news?
“This is good news….”
“Tell us more…“
These Celtic fans believe that this is a positive update, while others want to know if Kyogo Furuhashi could also be available for the Hearts game.
Starfelt has the experience of playing regularly for Rubin Kazan and was not in Sweden’s Euro 2020 squad, so he might already be fit and fine to feature for the Bhoys soon.
At present, Celtic only have Christopher Jullien as a senior centre-back option but the Frenchman is injured. So having an experienced defender in Starfelt would be a boost for Postecoglou’s side when the Premiership season starts.
