This tweet about the update drew the attention of many Celtic fans, who made their views clear about this announcement.

What did Celtic fans make of this announcement?

“So why are there allowed to be at least 60k at Wembley and 25k at Murrayfield I know it’s a start and believe me it’s welcome but that’s a pathetic amount.”

These Celtic fans clearly aren’t happy with this news and they seem to have wanted more fans at Parkhead for the game. Some state that since Wembley is allowed to have a much higher capacity at recent Euro 2020 matches, so the same should be possible for Celtic Park.

But this is only a friendly and the article on the club’s website states that this will be a preparatory event. This might be suggestive that more fans could well be allowed soon, depending on how the Preston game goes.
