Many Celtic fans have been discussing the club’s announcement of defender Osaze Urhoghide.
The official Celtic Twitter account recently tweeted about the club’s signing of the young defender, confirming that he has signed a four-year deal after arriving from Sheffield Wednesday.

Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that the defender is someone that the club had been tracking for quite a while, describing Urhoghide to be a ‘very ambitious’ player. Postecoglou also stated that the 20-year-old has shown traits to become a top player.

Urhoghide is a versatile defender who can play across the backline and for Sheffield Wednesday in the 2020/21 campaign, he played at centre-back, left-back and at right-back.
The fact that he played quite a few times for the Owls shows that this is a player who has the experience of playing first-team football and isn’t a candidate for the club’s reserve side. So the expectation from Celtic fans should be that they see Urhoghide ply his trade with Postecoglou’s senior squad quite often and with Kristoffer Ajer potentially leaving, it could lead to the youngster getting more chances.
