Many Celtic fans have been discussing a news update regarding Aaron Hickey that emerged on social media.
The Scottish Sun has recently reported about Celtic’s chase of Hickey, claiming that the Hoops are closing in on the youngster and have made a £3.5million bid to sign the Scotsman. Talks with the young left-back could open this week.
The Bhoys have already signed Osaze Urhoghide, as they paid a compensation fee of £200,000 to sign him. It now seems as if Ange Postecoglou’s side are stepping up their pursuit of other targets, too.

Hickey already has experience in playing in a major European league through his time at Bologna. Before suffering an injury, the Scotsman was a regular for Sinisa Mihajlovic’s side.
He played quite often for Hearts in the Premiership too and it is perhaps a reflection of his quality at a tender age. Hickey is also an ex-Celtic youngster, so he’d know the club well. Because of his experience at a pretty young age, Hickey could be a very good signing for the Bhoys.
