Dean Windass believes that Tammy Abraham is worth £40m and that West Ham would be able to afford his services.

With his Chelsea future looking bleak, the 23-year-old is likely to be sold this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, the Blues are willing to listen to offers and are confident of selling the striker for £40m, with both the Hammers and Aston Villa his likeliest destination.

Abraham slipped down the pecking order following the arrival of Thomas Tuchel, starting just twice in the Premier League from January onwards and was left out of the squad for both the Champions League and FA Cup final.

The striker still showed his quality by chipping in with 12 goals and six assists in limited starts, although the likes of Timo Werner and Olivier Giroud were often preferred by the Chelsea manager.

Nice easy one to start off with. How much do you think Declan Rice is worth?

Abraham has been starved of opportunities for the best part of the last six months, but he’s approaching the 100-goal mark in senior football – 30 of which came in the blue of Chelsea.

With those impressive stats in mind, when asked whether Abraham is worth the reported fee, Windass exclusively told This is Futbol:

“I think that’s the bulk figure they’re looking for.

“I think it’ll be affordable for West Ham, so that’ll be interesting to see where he does end up.”
