Evening Standard journalist Jack Rosser, who covers West Ham, has told This is Futbol that Tammy Abraham would be an excellent signing for the Irons, but has raised questions over whether the striker would join them.

David Moyes is desperately trying to add another frontman to his squad, whilst the 23-year-old is looking for a new club, meaning it would appear a match made in heaven.

Will Jesse Lingard return to West Ham this summer?

But Abraham has already proved himself at the highest level, scoring 21 Premier League goals in just 37 starts across the previous two seasons for Chelsea, and has already attracted the attention of both Tottenham and Arsenal.

Abraham also has the likes of Aston Villa and Crystal Palace tracking his progress, which means he isn’t likely to be short of options as he prepares to leave boyhood club Chelsea before the window closes next month.

But the majority of those mentioned above have a nailed on first-choice striker, whilst West Ham only have Michail Antonio in their ranks, and have the added workload of the Europa League.

Nice easy one to start off with. How much do you think Declan Rice is worth?

Previous reports have suggested that Chelsea are asking for around £40m, and Rosser told This is Futbol that it would be a major coup for Moyes’ side.

“It would be a fantastic signing. It might be a bit of a long shot; I think Abraham doing what he did at Chelsea would fancy himself going somewhere perhaps a bit bigger than West Ham.”
