Nuno Espirito Santo may be left to find bargains this summer with transfer expert Pete O’Rourke speaking on the lack of money in north London during the latest episode of The Football Terrace’s The Done Deal Show.

There certainly is one way that Spurs could raise some funds for their new manager in his first transfer window, but it’s been made clear that they have no desire to sell Harry Kane, unless the new boss wants to.

Will Nuno succeed at Spurs?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Since moving to their new stadium, Spurs have spent £233.1 million on players, with £54 million going on Tanguy Ndombele and the lack of success on the pitch during this time saw them slump down the table behind the likes of Leicester City and West Ham United last season in the race for a European spot.

Therefore, O’Rourke’s claim of the club not having a lot of money to spend which he made on The Football Terrace YouTube channel may not have pleased Spurs fans.

He said: “I’ve been told there’s not a lot of money at Tottenham this summer. They’re going to have to generate a lot of their own funds – whether that is the big question of cashing in on Harry Kane or maybe selling some other players.”

TIF Thoughts on the lack of money at Spurs…

Starting with a current Tottenham star. How many PL goals has Harry Kane scored for Spurs?

There have been doubts over the futures of several players such as Toby Alderweireld, Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko and Erik Lamela, which could point towards the club having to sell before they make a splash in the transfer market.

Those four players listed above have a combined market value of £51.3 million (as per Transfermarkt), which is still not a lot of money, however, Daniel Levy being able to secure naming rights to their new stadium would certainly inject some money into the coffers.

So perhaps this has to happen before we can expect big arrivals at Spurs.
