A whole host of Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted positively on Twitter to a rumour surrounding Marseille defender Duje Caleta-Car.
Citing ‘information coming from England’, Croatian outlet SportKlub has claimed that Spurs have agreed personal terms with the centre-back, with the clubs set to agree on a fee. Tottenham are thought to be offering €24m (£20.5m) to bring Caleta-Car to north London.

It would appear to be a replacement for Toby Alderweireld who is reportedly set to seal a move to Qatar despite penning a new deal with Spurs in 2019.
However, some sources have played down the links with the player, so it remains to be seen whether this potential move has any legs.

In the last week, Spurs appear to have kicked into gear in the transfer market, having announced the signings of Pierluigi Gollini and Bryan Gil from Sampdoria and Sevilla respectively.
If Alderweireld leaves, as has been reported, that would leave Spurs with Davinson Sanchez, Eric Dier, Joe Rodon, Japhet Tanganga and Cameron Carter-Vickers as options at the heart of defence, so additions are likely required to have some options and more experience at the back.
