Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to claims that they have been offered the chance to sign Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham.

A report from The Telegraph has claimed that Thomas Tuchel’s side are looking to offload the 23-year-old, valued at £34.2m on Transfermarkt, and has been ‘made available’ to a number of clubs, including Inter and Borussia Dortmund – with London rivals Arsenal also reportedly showing an interest in his services.

The England international enjoyed a fruitful time in the 2019/20 season under Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge, scoring 18 goals in all competitions before falling out of favour under Tuchel last term, a precursor to his potential exit from the club.

The news that he has been offered to Tottenham was relayed to the supporters by @thespursweb, where there were plenty of them who were willing to put club rivalries aside and hope that Spurs make a move for him:

“Get him!!!!”

“I’d have him in our squad”
“I would take him. 100%”
“Wow. I think this is because of our DOF. If it was Levy then never would this happen. Anyways I’d take Tammy”
“6ft4, great technically, nimble, and his movement is great. Take him all day long.”
“Call me crazy but I’d take him”
“Wow we should be all over this”

With just under seven weeks to go until the window closes, there’s sure to be plenty of deals to be made, whether or not this turns out to be one of them, we’ll just have to wait and see.

It would be a big call for Chelsea to sanction a move for a proven top-flight goalscorer to one of their bigger rivals, so it is easy to see why fans are excited over what would be an eyebrow-raising transfer.
