Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest piece of transfer news to emerge concerning the north London club.

This comes after journalist Fabrizio Romano shared a post on his official Twitter page revealing that the Lilywhites are “finalising a deal” with Spanish club Sevilla that would see Spurs winger Erik Lamela move to the Spanish club, with Bryan Gil moving the other way.

Starting with a current Tottenham star. How many PL goals has Harry Kane scored for Spurs?

Romano also added that Sevilla will also get €25 million (£21.6 million) with add-ons included in the deal.

This post then quickly caught the attention of a lot of Spurs fans, who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest claim.

So, what did these Spurs fans have to say in response to this latest transfer news from Romano?

“ERIK LAMELA FINALLY GONE, OMG HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE”

@axelthfc

“THIS IS BEST DAY OF MY LIFE HAHAHAHAHAHA SEE YOU LATER MATEEEE”

@FtblMason

“Get it done…. Whoever Bryan Gil is I already love him”

@gloryglorytott

“YESSSSSSSSSSS”

@thfcmtt

“YOOOOOO BRYAN GIL IS THE FUTURE OMDS”

@LoicBade

“Ohohooo wow Paratici That’s some deal u brought off “

@sajanmw

Looking at the replies to this post from Romano, it’s clear to see that these Tottenham fans are delighted by this latest news and would be over the moon to see Gil join the club and Lamela leave in the process.

Given how Gil was recently nominated for the 2021 Golden Boy Award, it’s easy to see why these fans would be excited to see the 20-year-old make the move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.

What part of this potential deal are you happier about?

In regards to Lamela, the fact that he only managed to earn himself a rather disappointing overall season rating of 6.36/10 for his performances in the Premier League last season, making him the lowest-rated Tottenham player who started a league game according to WhoScored, it’s also understandable, in our view, why some of these fans would be happy to see the back of him.
