Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest transfer claim to emerge surrounding the north London club.

This comes after Spurs-focused Twitter account @thespursweb shared a post on their page relaying news originally published in a report from the Daily Mail.

Starting with a current Tottenham star. How many PL goals has Harry Kane scored for Spurs?

The report claims that Tottenham’s recently-appointed managing director of football Fabio Paratici is “understood to be an admirer” of Sassuolo defender Mert Muldur and is “ready to pursue the full-back.”

This post then quickly grabbed the attention of a lot of Tottenham supporters, who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest claim.

So, what did these Spurs fans have to say in response to this latest transfer news linking them with a move for Muldur?

“Mert Müldür is CLASS, I loved him every time I watched Sassuolo. Müldür is way better than Tomiyasu. Paratici making the right moves.”

@Football_FV

“Omddddsssss Paratici INNNN”

@vynzbrahfr4ever

“YESSSSSS”

@johannkph

“Yes, very promising. Very versatile across the backline and would suit Nuno’s system well. Plays both side full-back and CB.”

@CenkISTA

“Yes, one of the few Serie A products we should be after.”

@ILFarone

“Very good potential”

@SamSpurs2

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems that these Spurs fans would be happy to see their club make a move for Muldur this summer.

Would you be happy if Spurs signed Muldur this summer?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Given how the right-back only managed to earn himself a rather uninspiring overall season rating of 6.48/10 for his performances in Serie A last season, making him Sassuolo’s 16th-highest-rated player according to WhoScored, perhaps his statistics are painting a false portrayal of his true ability.

And with current Spurs right-back Serge Aurier expressing his desire to leave the north London club, perhaps the club and Paratici see Muldur as a suitable replacement for the Ivorian if he does end up leaving this summer.
