Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest transfer claim to emerge surrounding Sampdoria winger and reported Spurs target Mikkel Damsgaard.

This comes after Spurs-focused Twitter account @TheThfcBlog shared a post relaying news originally shared by journalist Fabrizio Romano during one of his recent Twitch streams where he spoke about the latest transfer-related topics.

Starting with a current Tottenham star. How many PL goals has Harry Kane scored for Spurs?

During the stream, Romano claimed that proposals of around €25-30m (£21.6m-£25.9m) will arrive for Damsgaard in the coming days.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Tottenham supporters, who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest news.

So, what did these Spurs fans have to say in response to Romano’s claim about Damsgaard?

“Wowzaaaa I like it”

@ndombgoat

“Fabio Paratici is the one”

@Sahil_XT

“Would be a great signing! He was unreal for Denmark!”

@BoxingWgli

“This would be amazing. Please be true”

@jstevens123

“We’re going on a rampage”

@_thfctom_

“IM CRYING IM ACTUALLY DROPPING TEARS”

@M4again

@HazSpur92

@KorayTHFC

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems as though these Spurs fans would be delighted to see their club potentially make a move to sign Damsgaard this summer.

Given how Damsgaard managed to score two goals and provide one assist for Denmark during Euro 2020 and ultimately ended the tournament as Denmark’s joint second-highest-rated player alongside Kasper Dolberg with an overall rating of 7.28/10 for his performances according to WhoScored, it’s easy to see why these Spurs fans would be over the moon to see him potentially join the club this summer.

Do you think Spurs should try and sign Damsgaard this summer?

No

In our view, if Spurs do manage to sign Damsgaard this summer, this could turn out to be a good bit of business from the club based on the fact that the player is just 21 years old and has shown his quality at the Euros and the potential he has within him to improve further.
