Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to claims surrounding a potential move for two Wolverhampton Wanderers players.

With the appointment of former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo as head coach a few weeks ago, it’s understandable that he might want to dip into his old team to try and bring in players that he is comfortable working with to help ease him into things. It’s a tried-and-tested method that has been done plenty of times before.

So it’s no surprise then to see that, according to a claim from Portuguese reporter Pedro Almeida, Tottenham are looking to bring in both Willy Boly and Daniel Podence in a €45m (£38.3m) deal. Both players placed in the top 10 for Wolves last season in terms of their WhoScored match ratings – two minor positives in what was a disappointing season for the Molineux outfit.

The news was relayed to fans by @thespursweb for fans to react to, and it’s fair to say that there were plenty of them who weren’t too pleased to hear the two players were being linked to the club:

“No thanks … Just waste of money and downgrade”

“I beg not”
“This source is embarrassing”
“Please don’t waste that money there are much better targets out there”
“Please tell me I’m in a nightmare”
“No thanks?”
“Hahaha no”

Whether or not these will be the only players at his former club that he decides to target, we’ll just have to wait and see.
