Multiple Tottenham fans have been talking about a news update regarding Harry Winks that emerged on social media recently.

The Athletic recently published an article about Tottenham and their plans this summer, which also included some information about the situation of Winks. It stated that the Englishman is waiting to find out his role under Nuno Espirito Santo over the next few days, while elsewhere, Moussa Sissoko is up for sale and Oliver Skipp is set to become part of the first team.

“His role: raise funds for Tottenham by getting out of here.”

These Spurs fans clearly want Winks gone from their club and they’re making their opinions clear about the midfielder.

Winks played only 15 Premier League games in the 2020/21 season and his performances over the last few seasons show that his game time at Tottenham is only reducing. His WhoScored rating last season was also pretty average (6.37/10) and was the lowest he has had in a single league season since the 2016/17 season.

His importance at the club has clearly reduced but since he’s still 25 and Sissoko looks to be on the way out, Winks might be a good squad option at the club, and selling him may leave Spurs with limited midfield options.
