Aouar has constantly shown his ability to contribute to goals from midfield and even in the 2020/21 campaign, the Lyon star scored seven times and racked up three assists in Ligue 1 (as per WhoScored).

Harry Winks’ future at Tottenham is undecided and the club are thought to be open to offers for Moussa Sissoko. It suggests that they’d need depth in midfield and Aouar would provide that.

Since Arsenal, Liverpool and United are also in the race, signing the Frenchman would be quite a statement from Spurs and since Aouar is still 23, he may still improve in the future, too.
