have been reacting to the news and rumours which are currently surrounding the football club.

This comes after their long, ten-week search for a new manager came to an end yesterday as the club appointed Nuno Espirito Santo as their successor to Jose Mourinho, who was sacked by the club in April.

Erik ten Hag was one of the many managers that Spurs were strongly linked with to take over at the north London club, but according to Dutch journalist Valentijn Driessen (as per Voetbal Zone via Sport Witness), Ten Hag did not make a strong impression on the club as he left Spurs bosses shocked after saying he had no plans to bring a backroom team with him.

This was picked up on by Spurs , who weren’t shy in sharing their thoughts on the situation with the current Ajax boss.

Judging by the comments, many Spurs fans are confused by the tweet, as it has been reported previously that talks between the club and Antonio Conte had broken down after he demanded to bring in too many of his own backroom staff.

Spurs’ search for a new manager has been rather comical from a neutral perspective, as their issues in talks with Paulo Fonseca, Gennaro Gattuso and Conte have collapsed as the club attempted to replace Mourinho.

The current Ajax manager is another one for that list, with it being revealed that the board’s issue with him was the polar opposite to why they reportedly decided not to proceed with Conte.

Spurs fans will be hoping they can put the last few weeks behind them after the appointment of Espirito Santo, but as speculation continues to surround Harry Kane, linking him with a move away, it may be a long summer ahead for Tottenham Hotspur…
