Journalist Luke Hatfield reckons that Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo could come knocking for Wolves’ Pedro Neto.

Santo bought the 21-year-old to the Premier League from Braga two years ago and helped him develop into one of the most promising youngsters in the division.

Should Tottenham make Laporte a priority?

Neto suffered a serious knee injury in April, which has ruled him out for around six months, but the Portuguese has managed 17 goal contributions in just 60 topflight appearances for Wolves.

He’s also showed his ability to deliver in the biggest games having scored goals in victories over both Arsenal and Chelsea last season.

Starting with a current Tottenham star. How many PL goals has Harry Kane scored for Spurs?

When asked whether Santo might consider trying to sign any of his former Wolves players, Hatfield told This is Futbol:

“Pedro Neto. He’s coming off a serious injury, but he’s a player that Nuno has enjoyed working with.

“So, it wouldn’t surprise me if Nuno was interested.”

This would be an outstanding addition for Tottenham.

At just 21-years-old, Neto has proved that he’s good enough to perform at the highest level, and whilst Spurs would be a step up in quality, reuniting with Santo would surely do his confidence little harm, not to mention his ability to play anywhere across the front-three.
