A whole host of Newcastle United fans have taken to Twitter to react negatively to the news of Steve Bruce having a £10 million transfer budget.
Positive news has come out in the last 24 hours that the Magpies are confident of bringing Joe Willock back to St. James’ Park, but only on another loan deal.
Will Newcastle have new owners next season?
It was reported in the Daily Mail that Bruce will be looking to spend his whole budget on one player and then securing some loan deals.
A lot of Newcastle fans have reacted in a negative way on Twitter to this latest news.
What have these Newcastle United fans been saying?
“10 million??!! Mickey Mouse football club.”
“Laughable people will STILL turn up in their thousands despite what the owner is doing to the club.”
“The club is finished”
“How is it possible that we only have £10m WHERE HAS THE MONEY GONE?!”
“Embarrassing bottom feeder club”
“Loan FC Woooooo!”
This news will come as a huge blow for the Magpies, but may explain why they halted their pursuit of Celtic’s Kristoffer Ajer, who is reportedly only available for a guaranteed £15 million fee.
Bruce may have to look at both the free agent and loan market this summer, much like last season when the manager brought in Ryan Fraser, Willock and Jeff Hendrick.
