A whole host of Newcastle United fans appear to be delighted on Twitter to see their club linked with Axel Tuanzebe.
According to The Chronicle, The Magpies are reportedly now in pole position to sign the Manchester United centre-back, with Steve Bruce having worked with Tuanzebe during his loan spell at Aston Villa in the 2018/19 season.

Tuanzebe earned rave reviews for his standout performance for Man United in the Champions League against PSG last season, so Newcastle fans will be hoping he can bring that form to Tyneside if a deal can be brokered.
All of the central defenders that Steve Bruce had at his disposal last season were aged 27 or older, so bringing in some youth with Premier League experience could be a smart signing by the Magpies.
