Newcastle United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest video to emerge on social media of Toon manager Steve Bruce.

This comes after the official Newcastle club Twitter account shared a post that contained the video of Bruce speaking to the club’s media at the Magpies’ pre-season training camp at Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate in York.

Newcastle's all-time top Premier League goalscorer is Alan Shearer but how many goals did he score for the club?

During the video, Bruce praised the training facilities that his side are currently at as they prepare for the 2021/22 Premier League season and also added that it is “the start of a big week” regarding the fitness of his players.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from a number of Toon supporters who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on Bruce and what he had to say.

So, what did these Newcastle fans have to say in response to this footage of Bruce?

“Anyone still giving Ashley a pass needs to give their head a wobble, York College with better facilities then us man, we are a pure embarrassment”

@DennyBaldwin

Reality has just kicked back……I’d forgot about him! #nufc

@Lee18_92Johnson

“Oh no, been lovely not hearing this bloke.”

@micknufc

“Ugh I have not missed this”

@JamNUFC4

“Was hoping he’d left oh no another shocking season coming under him”

@powdy23

“Hopefully he’s not at this club in 5 weeks’ time.”

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems as though these Newcastle fans are not particularly pleased to hear from Bruce about the club’s pre-season schedule.

Are you feeling positive for the new season under Bruce?

Yes

No

No

Given how Bruce led Newcastle on a particularly poor run of Premier League results last season from the middle of December to the end of January, with some Toon fans protesting against his management, it’s understandable why these fans aren’t exactly looking forward to having another season with Bruce at the helm.

In our view, if Bruce wants to get these Newcastle fans on his side, then he needs to make sure he’s doing all he can to get the team to deliver strong performances on the pitch with positive results.
