Newcastle United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest update from the NUFC Supporters’ Trust (NUST).
This comes after NUST shared a post revealing a letter their chairman Greg Tomlinson has sent to Oliver Dowden, the government’s Secretary of State for the Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, over the Premier League’s transparency in the arbitration case regarding the proposed takeover of the club, calling for action from the government.
This post then quickly grabbed the attention of a number of Toon supporters who were quick to share their thoughts on this latest development.
So, what did these Newcastle fans have to say in response to this letter from the NUFC Supporters’ Trust?
“Finally”
“Excellent. Well done”
“At last! Thank you.”
“This is great”
“Use every resource, crank up the pressure. Love to see it.”
“Well done. Great to see us ALL pulling in the same direction”
Looking at the replies to this post, it seems that these Newcastle fans are delighted by this letter from NUST in an effort to get some transparency in the arbitration proceedings.
Are you pleased by this letter from NUST?
Yes
No
As well as this letter, Amanda Staveley, who has been heavily involved in trying to get the Saudi-based takeover over the line, also recently came out and pleaded for the same transparency.
In our view, if this letter and Staveley’s recent comments can persuade the government to change the current transparency protocols in regards to the arbitration, then this would surely be a big win for the fans of the club.
