Newcastle United fans have been turning to Twitter to react to the latest news and rumours that surround the Magpies.

This comes as supporters were given an update on their new kit after it was confirmed that the club had signed a deal with new kit supplier Castore. The deal is described as a ‘multi-year’ deal and Castore will begin making their kits from this coming season.

Fans were quick to give their thoughts on the deal…

“Encouraging that Newcastle will be getting a bespoke set up rather than a templated design. Is it just me who feels that having the kit launch combined with the announcement would have been good though? #nufc”

Judging by the reactions from Newcastle United fans, most of them are delighted with the news.

Castore is a sportswear brand that was created in 2015 by the Beahon brothers. As well as having collaborations with teams such as Wolves, Rangers and McLaren, it also sponsors top athletes such as Owen Farrell, Adam Peaty and perhaps most famously, Sir Andy Murray.

The Magpies have had their kits made by Puma since 2010 but now there’s a new kit manufacturer in town. The Beahon brothers’ company have also promised to open a store in the city centre where the shirts will be available for sale as well as agreeing to redesign the club shop.
