Newcastle's all-time top Premier League goalscorer is Alan Shearer but how many goals did he score for the club?

The article claims that Toon manager Steve Bruce is “eyeing up a move” for Olympique Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara.

The article also added that Kamara is in the final year of his contract with the French club and that “it is understood that the Ligue 1 club will consider any offers in or around the £15million mark.”

This post then caught the attention of a lot of Toon supporters who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest claim.

So, what did these Newcastle fans have to say in response to this claim linking the club with a move for Kamara?

“Definitely the type of signing we should be after”

@MichaelMidd90

“Now that would be nice”

@100Magpie

“Yes please”

@campbell_tal

“This would be a bomb if we could get him”

@Andy83JW

“Imagine if we pulled this off”

@conordusted

“Dreaming  Although if the takeover happened I could believe this signing – we (seemingly) have no money at the moment.”

@Hamill_CA

“This would be a very good signing, lots of potential this lad”

@ConnorKeegan20

“He’s very good too good to sign for bruce.”

@kainegardner

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems as though these Newcastle fans would be very happy to see their club potentially make a move for Kamara this summer.

Would you like to see Newcastle sign Kamara this summer?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Taking into account how only four teams managed to concede more goals than Newcastle in the Premier League last season and the fact that Kamara can play in either centre-back position as well as his usual defensive-midfield role, and having averaged 2.5 tackles per game last season, we feel that the club should try their best to sign the 21-year-old this summer if they want to tighten up defensively moving into next season.
