Newcastle's all-time top Premier League goalscorer is Alan Shearer but how many goals did he score for the club?

The footage shows a group of Toon players practising a one-touch passing drill that ended with Saint-Maximin scoring a goal with a low shot into the bottom corner of the goal.

This post then quickly grabbed the attention of a lot of Toon supporters who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest footage of their French winger.

So, what did these Newcastle fans have to say in response to this latest training footage of Saint-Maximin?

“I hope we don’t sell him…”

@LittlerGeordie

“I feel for rest of the lads that they have to train with that beast.”

@ConnorNUFC_

“He’s acc the best in the world”

@NUFC_LEW

“My goat”

@FSiide

“France would have reached the Euro Final with Maxi.”

@FrankieeD9

“There he is!”

@dannysomers1988

Looking at the replies to this post, it’s clear to see that these Newcastle fans are happy to see Saint-Maximin in action preparing for the upcoming 2021/22 Premier League season with Steve Bruce’s side.

Given how only Joe Willock managed to pick up a higher overall season rating (7.13/10) than Saint-Maximin (7.12/10) last season according to WhoScored, it’s easy to see why these Toon fans are excited to see the winger back in action next season.

Do you think Newcastle can finish in the top half if ASM stays fit?

Yes

Yes

No

No

In our view, given how Newcastle only managed to win two out of the 13 Premier League games he missed last season, this says to us that he is an important member of the team, especially in front of goal considering he managed to chip in with three goals and four assists in his difficult season.

If the club can keep Saint-Maximin fit and playing consistently next season, then we feel that the club wouldn’t be in another relegation battle as they were for a period last season.
