Get French Football News expert Adam White has tipped Manchester United to bolster their midfield by signing teenage sensation Eduardo Camavinga for as little as €30million.

Adam White has been keeping a close eye on Camavinga, who has made 82 senior appearances despite still being just 18 years old.

Camavinga shone for Rennes in 2019/20 but made less of an impact last term, featuring 39 times, and has been attracted attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Do you think Eduardo Camavinga is worth more than €30million?

Manchester United, who will be looking to bounce back from their Europa League final defeat to Villarreal by enjoying a successful campaign, have been heavily linked with making a move.

Reports suggest Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have already held informal talks with Camavinga’s representatives.

Rennes are keen for the midfielder, who has entered the final year of his contract, to sign an extended deal but he could sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club in January.

White believes United would be getting a player whose talent rivals France international Kylian Mbappe if they manage to get a deal over the line.

Who scored the opening goal in Liverpool's 4-3 win over Leeds United at Anfield in September?

Speaking exclusively to TIF, White said: “He only has a year left on his contract but there’s been talk of them extending Camavinga’s contract. I think €30million makes rough sense. He’s a hugely talented player and I feel as though it isn’t too low or unreasonable. There’s been talk of slightly higher fees. Maybe if Rennes reject €30million then they would take €40million.

“If you say he is the most talented teenager to come out of France, Mbappe aside, in the last five or 10 years then maybe he is worth more than that. But €30million or €40million in the current situation is probably okay.”
