Dean Jones spoke openly about the future of Mohamed Salah on The Football Terrace’s The Done Deal Show, dropping a worrying claim.

Since Salah returned to the Premier League at Anfield after being sold by Chelsea, the Egyptian has become one of the deadliest finishers, netting at least 19 Premier League goals in every season under Jurgen Klopp.

Recently, Salah has hinted that he ‘may be’ open to moving to Spain during an interview with Marca, and with his contract only set to run until 2023, the Reds may be considering the 29-year-old winger’s future.

Jones gave his verdict on The Done Deal Show about what he thinks the future holds for Salah.

“There is a concern about Mo Salah, and I personally think that he’s got one more year at Liverpool and he’ll leave, we’ll find out about that – at the moment, there’s just not that interest there.

“That’s partly [pandemic] related, because I think if that hadn’t have come along, I think Salah might have even gone by now.”

TIF Thoughts on Salah’s future…

Salah was signed from Roma for £34 million and it’s proved to be money well spent as he has won the Premier League and Champions League as well as two Golden Boot awards, not to mention the attacking force he has struck up with Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

First up in this Mo Salah quiz, what is his current squad number for Liverpool?

If Salah is still set on a move to Spain, it may be a more tricky deal to do now considering Barcelona and Real Madrid have only paid a combined £8.1 million on transfers this summer and are experiencing financial difficulties at present.
