Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest piece of transfer news to emerge concerning the Yorkshire club.

This comes after Leeds journalist Adam Pope shared a post on his Twitter page quote-tweeting a post from BBC West Yorkshire Sport, which revealed that Leeds full-back Laurens De Bock has joined Jupiler Pro League side SV Zulte Waregem on loan until the end of the season.

Leeds' all-time top Premier League goalscorer is Mark Viduka but how many did he score?

This post from Pope then gathered a number of replies from Whites supporters, who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest move.

So, what did these Leeds fans have to say in response to Pope’s post about De Bock’s loan move?

“Forgot he still played for us”

@leedsfan91

“He still plays for us?”

@LUFCLiam_2

“I’ll be honest, didn’t know he was still here”

@JamesPearson25

“Genuinely forgot he was still a Leeds player. Bad move this one.”

@BielsaDisciples

“Has to be up there with some of our worst signings in recent years. He always looks physically unwell”

@ItsBentley7

“Like most people, I’d forgotten about him. Hopefully his contract will be up before long as I doubt he’s a consideration for the team anymore”

@PMD31

Leeds signed De Bock back in the 2018 January transfer window from Belgian side Club Brugge.

Since then, the 28-year-old, who is currently valued at £630k, has been on numerous loan spells away from Elland Road and has made just seven appearances for Marcelo Bielsa’s side (per Transfermarkt).

Do you think De Bock has been a bad signing for Leeds?

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems that the majority of these Leeds fans had forgotten all about De Bock, which just goes to show how little he has been involved with the club in recent years.

In our view, perhaps the best option for everyone would be to let De Bock leave Leeds on a permanent basis when his new loan spell ends if he isn’t likely to be a regular at Elland Road.
