Leeds United fans have been reacting to comments made by former League forward Kevin about Manchester United’s Dan James.

The Welsh international was, of course, set to sign for Marcelo Bielsa’s men from City during the January 2019 transfer window, only for the deal to fall apart at the very last minute. Instead, he moved to Manchester United the following summer, where after initially being seen as a regular, his playing time has plummeted.

Leeds and have both reportedly shown an interest in taking him off Manchester United’s hands, although the Red Devils aren’t showing a significant willingness to let him leave at this stage, but that he would cost £25m if they did decide to let him go.

Speaking about James to Football Insider, claimed that if Manchester United were to let him go, that James would get his playing career back on track:

Would you like to see Daniel James sign for Leeds?

“It wouldn’t surprise me if he really performs next season, whoever he’s playing for. He’s got that experience from the Euros and will be on a high after getting out of the groups. £25million is the standard price when you leave Manchester United. Wherever he goes this summer, he will get back to that form he showed during his first season at Man United.”

The article was relayed to fans on the Leeds Insider Facebook page, with the question posed to them whether or not they felt James would make the move to Elland Road this summer, and it’s fair to say that there were a number of them who weren’t too happy with the notion:

These fans don’t seem too impressed with the links and talking up James’ talents, though it is possible that some of them could just still be a little bitter over the cancelled deal in 2019.
